Curb Find Goes Glam

Curb Find Goes Glam

Today I hereby coin a new phrase. Curb Procurement. You know what it is. It's when you see something on the curbside someone has left for garbage removal, and you are suddenly, inexplicably, overcome with inspiration and a desire to make it your own even if it means coming back later with a larger vehicle for its transport or another set of hands to help you get it into your trunk.

Today's curb procurement comes to us from Kim. She spied a couple of chairs that needed rescuing, shoved them into the back of her Escape (one at time, by the way, as it was already loaded with other projects) and turned them into shadows of their former selves. Take a look:

Second-hand Chic: a Milk Crate Turned Stool

by DIY Maven

I have exciting news! Our esteemed leader, Bruno, is putting the finishing touches on the next installment of the Curbly Make It! Library, Make It! Second Hand Chic. Much as Make It! Mid-Century Modern, this volume shows you, step by step, how to turn second hand items into stylish additions to your decor. Fifteen projects in all, there's something for every room in your house.

To gear up for the release of Make It! Second Hand Chic, we've decided to cull the internets for some fabulous trash to treasure projects that will make you look at cast-offs in a brand new way.
