From Spring Design & Art comes the Top 10 Google Searches Pillow. Note those for 2006; both Paris and Orlando come before Hurricane Katrina and bankruptcy. Yeah, that sounds about right. Anyway, the 16" x 16" pillow signed and numbered pillows are being offered as limited editions of 250 and can be yours for $120 bucks. I first saw this quick and easy to make pillow slipcover technique on BBC America’s fabulous DIY make over show "Changing Rooms" three or four years ago. It’s an oldie but a goodie.

What You Need

  • A pillow form or old pillow you no longer love
  • Fabric one inch wider and 2 ½ times longer than your pillow’s dimensions
  • Thread
  • Scissors
  • A sewing machine, although you could get by with hand stitching in a pinch

What You Need                                  What You Don’t Need
Ugly square pillow of your choice            Needle

Fabric: approximately twice the              Thread
    dimensions of the pillow,
    so about 40" square fabric
    for 20" pillow.

 

 

Nice Package

Lightweight cotton works great for this method.  Lay your fabric wrong...
