Everybody loves IKEA, right? The simplicity of the designs, plus the sense of accomplishment from putting furniture together yourself... this combo makes IKEA a standard go-to when shopping for the home. There are lots of ways to hack IKEA furniture - however, would you like to customize these basic designs to set you apart from the thousands of other people that have the same piece? Turns out, it's a pretty easy transformation to make. Today we're taking a look at how easy it is to upgrade your IKEA furniture, thanks to Norse Interiors' system. IKEA Hack: The Tarva Nightstand Gets Naked

IKEA Hack Nightstand Edition - A Tarva nightstand with cutout handles

One of the easiest ways to change up a piece of furniture is to switch out the hardware - but what happens when the hardware is abandoned completely? When my wife found this nightstand during a recent trip to IKEA, she immediately drew inspiration from a different piece of furniture in our house - our hardware-less credenza. Could we replicate the cutout drawer handle on her new nightstand? Turns out, we could! Trading a little extra work for the extra cost of new hardware, here's how this IKEA nightstand hack worked out.

Make This: Minimal Stud Earring Organizer

by M.E. Gray

Minimal stud earring organizer you can make from a strip of leather

There's no shortage of organizers for earrings on the internet - that is, if you only wear dangling earrings. Me? I'm more of a stud woman. And since stud earrings are so tiny, it's even more frustrating when they get disorganized! Oh, the hours I have lost trying to find the other half of a pair of earrings. There aren't a slew of attractive organization options out there for purchase, which is exactly why I set to work making this stud earring organizer myself - and you can too!

Easy DIY Nightstand Upgrade

I've wanted to upgrade my nightstands for a long time. I love the raised pattern on the drawer fronts, but the pale blue doesn't work well with the existing colors in the room. So I decided to give them a couple of coats of white chalk paint and add some leather pulls to lend a more sophisticated vibe. Click through to check out the final look, as well as a tutorial.

IKEA Hack: Tarva Nightstand Gets Tech-Friendly

IKEA HACK: Tarva nightstand gets tech-friendly with built-in charging station

Hide ugly cords by your bed with this IKEA Tarva nightstand hack!

Before I bought this nightstand, I had never stepped foot in an IKEA (gasp!). It wasn't for lack of wanting to, I just never had the opportunity before. As a former small-town gal, I haven't lived within driving distance of an IKEA up until I moved to the big city (more specifically, the Twin Cities) about a year and a half ago. Since moving, I've been putting off a trip to the IKEA because I know myself too well. I know that I love cute home decor, and I knew that I'd want to take everything in that store home with me. Impulsive purchasing aside, I needed a new nightstand. Let me tell you two things: #1. IKEA is awesome (and massive and a bit confusing at first - but they have Swedish Fish which totally made up for me getting lost), and #2. I love this IKEA Tarva nightstand because it is so hackable.

Before and After: 8 Easy Tips for Styling a Nightstand

Does your nightstand look anything like this one, almost completely bare except for a few remotes and a weird light? Guilty as charged, over here. Until, that is, I took the time to actually style it. Now it looks like a grown up's nightstand, as opposed to a college kid's. See how I styled this mid-century nightstand, along with 8 tips for styling a nightstand perfectly.

Turn a Secondhand Night Stand into a Snuggly Dog Bed

Turn a Secondhand Night Stand into a Snuggly Dog Bed

Jordan says, "I inherited a bunch of my grandmother's old furniture, but over the years (and several moves) I've ended up giving away or selling most of it. At this point, all I have left is a floral chair that I'm planning on recovering and a clunky side table that I've never found particularly useful (it has no shelves inside, so isn't really good for storing the kinds of small things you keep in bedside tables...and I don't have space for it anywhere else).
