Hold onto your hats, because it's almost 2019! Even though the passing of another year signals that we're all getting a little bit older (*groan*), I very much enjoy celebrating New Years. It's an excuse to start fresh, a good reason to celebrate the future, and a time to reflect on all the awesome things that happened in 2018. To ring in the new year, I made a cute little banner to hang in my home. It took no time at all to make, and the cost was almost nothing, since it's made mostly from inexpensive felt. Make one to bring good vibes in 2019, or to hang up at your New Year's Eve party!
Yep, the season is here and I'm ready to deck. those. halls. Each year, I lean more and more towards minimal Christmas decorations and I love simple black and white with splashes of metallics. I'm a huge fan of a banner or pendent. They are easy to hang and roll up small and compact to pack away for the rest of the year. Banners add a relaxed, informal vibe to a space. This no-sew, narrow NOEL banner is perfect for a tight space. I'm hanging mine on a tiny space on my wall between the door and window.
Felt is one of my favorite materials to work with. It's inexpensive and requires no sewing.
Halloween is coming up quickly, and I don't know about you, but I'll be ready to start decorating soon. Usually when I get my home ready for Halloween, I tend to avoid the creepier, crawlier stuff and go straight for cute and classic. A few jack-o-lanterns, some fake cobwebs, and a ghost or two. Or, in this case, a whole string of them! The mini "boos" on this DIY Halloween banner are a cute and quick addition to a styled mantel or cart, or simply haunting on a wall or door.
Easter is right around the corner! We are waaaay behind at my house, seeing as I took down Valentine decorations on Monday. Pathetic, I know. It is time to move on to that cheerful Springtime holiday, Easter! Here is a collection of 14 DIY ideas that I am itching to try.
