Mr. Mod's Souped Up Bunny Cake

Foodie Fridays have made me feel all Home Ecky. However, it's Mr. Mod who's the baker around here. In response to my nagging, he agreed to supervise my attempt at baking by lending me the secret to his souped up German Chocolate Cake recipe. We started with a boxed German Chocolate cake and then turned it all creamy rich and dark chocolate-y. As if that's not enough, we've turbo-texturized the canned coconut pecan icing too.

The bow tie and other details are done with a simple butter cream icing tinted with food coloring. I was shooting for lavender, but we ended up with a preppy looking bunny.

Earlier in the week I was waiting for the nice lady at Whole Foods to round me up some of their private Avocado Lime salad dressing. After tasting it, I searched on the shelves for a bottled up version to no avail. It's not that they don't disclose the ingredients, but sensing that I am absolutely NOT a foodie, she patiently told me how I could whip up the yummy, fresh dressing at home. She had that pitying look on her face like people who explain some simple idea to you and then (as if you have a severe comprehension problem)ask "Does that make sense?"
