More from Groningen

clovato on Mar 25, 2011:

Staircase #10 is located in the Loretto Chapel in Santa Fe, New Mexico and has two 360 degree turns and no visible means of support.

waicool on Mar 18, 2011:

some of the private stairs shown are intentionally dangerous to mock the building codes and injure the stupid rich people who would have them.

Got a Tweet that # 5 staircase is Garvan Institute of Medical Research in Sydney, Australia.

Zephyr on Feb 26, 2011:

The last photo is from the Loretto Chapel in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The stairs were originally built without a railing. The (beautiful) railing was adding after several scary years of use.

Malte Lewan on Feb 26, 2011:

It would be nice to see the complete location list of these staircases.

Reality-based design on Feb 25, 2011:

Okay.  You are walking down those stairs, and you slip.  No hand rails, sharp edges all the ay down.  It looks nice, but some of these things are death traps.

Don't they have building inspectors in Europe?  Really?

ModHomeEcTeacher on Feb 25, 2011:

Thanks Piotr!

Shin on Feb 25, 2011:

The last one is the good one. :D
