Comments - Turn an Awkward Side Table Into a Dual Purpose Dog Bed

Karin Savoie on May 04, 2012:

Great job.  It looks like you spend hundreds of dollars on expensive molding to build this table.  I hope you are very proud of yourself!!

This is a great idea! My boyfriend and I are getting a pug pup in June. We were tring to find different ways to make a dog bed that's not only the right size, but stylish too. So far this is my favorite option! Kudos and thank you so much for sharing!

This is awesome, and the look on the lil pooch's face is priceless.

I am always so impressed by people who can look at old and ugly objects and see useful and beautiful furniture! Kudos!

Candy-It's really very doable too.

Great read! This surely is very helpful for dog owners who are planning to build a personalised dog bed for the best "buddy" in the world ;)

Oops, got a text from my son and hit send. I would route out the center of the door and add mesh. I wouldn't close a doggie in a solid box all night! I love doggies!

DesigningMom on Nov 08, 2010:

I have two or maybe it's three similar old end tables that I'm going to make into doggie beds or use for bases of kitty condos. I won't remove the door on the doggie beds though so they can also be used an home kennels for dogs that need to be closed in at night while potty training.
