Is there a way to get template with being a scribd member?

Diane Ashmore on Nov 21, 2012:

Love this idea, thanks for sharing.

Carmel on Oct 26, 2012:

beautiful. If making this from card, don't cut out the nicks in the 2 under flaps and do cut the slits in the opposite direction and a ribbon can be pulled through, which then in turn holds in the two underflaps.

DIY Maven on Dec 18, 2011:

@maria...a dot of hot glue or foam sticky back tape will do.

maria on Dec 17, 2011:

love this, but how did you attach the bow??

bromeliad on Dec 15, 2011:

THANK YOU, DIY Maven!!  The link works great.  Also, a big thanks for the info on using the info from your site.  You're the best!!

DIY Maven on Aug 11, 2011:

Okay, I've recalled the doc from the Scribd Archives, so it should work now, at least for a couple months until I have to recall it again. :S

@Rachael, yes, please include attribution with a link to this page for the how-to, and as far as the Scribd doc goes, a link to it in my Scribd account is all you need to do. Glad you like it!

Rachel Frankovich, MOPS creative activities on Aug 11, 2011:

Love the box.  Hoping to use it for a craft for our MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) with all credit to you, of course, but I too am having trouble with the template.  Any ides.  If we use this idea for a MOPS project are their BLOG rules I need to follow about where the template came from etc?  Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

DIY Maven on Aug 08, 2011:

@DanielleMW, ah...it's been archived by Scribd. That stinks, but I guess it's understandable. I'll have to reconsider how to make the PDF available for free again. Re-post to Scribd? Use a different method? I'll do some thinking and get back to you. I'll update the link as well when a change is made. Thanks for the heads up!!!

DanielleMW on Aug 07, 2011:

Maven, clicking on the link does take you to the Scribd page. However, when you try to download it, another page pops up which asks for an upload of your own or a paid subscription.

@NotCrafty, I'm not sure how you found this post, but you don't have to have a Facebook account or pay to access the template. It's totally free, and you can find it at my Scrib account. There's a link in the tutorial, but here it is again.

NotCrafty on Aug 06, 2011:

The tutorial looks great but having to have a facebook account and having to pay to access the templet is a little much for one thing.

winnieb20678 on Aug 06, 2011:

Adorable

Courtney on Dec 03, 2010:

Love love love.  Gonna try.  Maybe add a hole punched in the 4 tabs to tie the bow through!  Keep little fingers from "accidentally" opening it otherwise!

Stephanie on Dec 02, 2010:

try googling pennant felt for a thicker, stiffer type of felt available online. I think thefeltpeople.com carries it.

KRartist on Nov 10, 2010:

wow I diffidently got to try this!

betsy on Nov 09, 2010:

oh my goodness! This must be my 15 minutes of Curbly fame!

Yes, I will send you pictures -- I've made a few because the first one was uneven (poor scissoring skills).  I will tell you that the felting process is not as challenging as it might read--boiling, drying and having a good steamer-- about a six hours to a half day of patience depending on the wool.

cheers!
