AS FOR THE CYNDER BLOCK BENCH. I WOULD JUST SIMPLY USE CYNDER BLOCKS FOR THE SIDES OF BENCH AND RUN WOOD THROUGH THE CENTER AND BACK FOR A NICER LOOKING AND PROBABLY A LITTLE MORE COMFY BENCH. PUT A CUSHION ON AND SOME PRETTY PILLOWS..

Has anyone made the cinder block bench? I want to know how many blocks of the big and the small would this require. I could figure out the design just need to know how many to buy.

That swinging bed is to die for! Just looking at it makes me feel all relaxed and never want to go to work again. This realy makes me want to see what discount outdoor patio furniture I can find, and do with it! Thanks for the awesome post!

I am going to make the cinder block sofa with the plants growing in the back. That's genius! I am also going to make swings out of chairs...I wish I could think of everything myself but since I can't I'm glad there are other people who can and who share.

Cinderblock couch, leads to a chair, side tables. Love the weatherproof factor.

We've had wonderful success with pallet projects.....they are far from ugly! I believe the trick is to deconstruct them and use the wood like regular store bought wood. The texture is so awesome!

I agree with the whole pallet craze! They are ugly! I've loved the little yellow swing for a while! I slo love the first couch that you show. All these are pretty cool. I'm going to have to check out the hammock DIY.

Such great ideas, really like the cinderblocks. We made a garden table with reclaimed roofing timber and the old glue stains gave it an amazing finish. Check it out http://remadeit.co.uk/2011/09/outdoor-dining-table-2/

I love the bed swing and the cinderblock bench. It would be really fun if it was painted or stained as well!
