Note: Be sure your base knob is heat stable. A friend was covering light switches and found that Bakelite does not like heat.

Using the rasp was my idea but not the grating bit. I was surprised at how much fun I had experimenting with different looks. And it was incredibly easy!

@H, it's around 275 degrees. The length of time in the oven is based upon the thickness of the clay. Usually 15 minutes per 1/4 inch thickness. But different brands of clay vary time and temp a little bit, so be sure to check the package.
