Bruno Bornsztein is a home-improvement enthusiast who learned how to tackle DIY projects with the help of the Web. He launched Curbly in 2006 to help explore the creative side of home decor and foster a community of people who love where they live.

Chris Gardner is an artist, writer, and sawdust maker whoâ€™s passionate about seeking connections between creativity and community. As Curbly's editor, Chris is able to practice his "DIYology" - that everyone should be empowered to impact the things they consume and the places they interact with a little creativity. Chris is also the founder of Curbly's sister site, ManMadeDIY, a blog that catalogs the independent craft and handmade movement through a masculine lens. Chris holds a bachelor's degree in the humanities from Miami University, and a master's degree from MTSO.

JoAnn, aka DIY Maven, is not only an avid DIYer, crafter, reader and photographer, she is talented fiction writer as well. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, she also holds an MFA degree in creative writing from Hamline University, St. Paul, MN. Her interests and educational background has made her an invaluable asset to the Curbly community since 2006.

Shelly has been taking apart and rebuilding furniture for more than 15 years.
A weekly DIY columnist for The Indianapolis Star and contributor to ApartmentTherapy Chicago, her familiar voice and easy-to-follow projects have worked their way through
the hands of creators from novice to professional. Shelly is on the faculty at The Indianapolis Art Center and independently teaches classes and workshops in sewing, upholstery, creating and design. She graduated from Butler University and holds a bachelorâ€™s degree in education with a concentration in Textiles and Design.
