Before we know it, Easter will be upon us… which means that it’s high time to get some Easter eggs in a basket! (Or in this case, a white tray). Today we’re sharing a quick and easy way to decorate eggs using spray paint and few adhesive stickers. Click through to check out the full tutorial. Â
Materials
- Spray paint in a couple of colors
- Adhesive alphabet stickers with symbols
- Room temperature white eggs
Step
Begin by laying an egg out on a paper towel and spray painting the top surface. Be sure to use multiple light coats rather than one thick one.
Â
Step
Let it dry thoroughly, and then adhere a symbol sticker to the center of the spray painted area. Spray paint over it in a contrasting color.Â
Â
Step
Let the second paint color dry thoroughly as well, and remove the sticker to reveal the symbol. Use a toothpick or tweezers to remove the sticker if you’re having trouble grasping it without damaging the painted surface.Â
Tip: Metallic colors seemed to take longer to dry, so give them an extra half hour before attempting to touch them or attach a sticker.
Â
The final result is a unique two-tone finish with a touch of the first color poking out from behind the second.
Â
You might also try letters… perhaps the first letter of each of your family members’ names. Or you could even spell out short words if you have smaller stickers!
Â
The possibilities are endless with this fun layering technique. Happy Easter friends!Â
