Complete Kitchen Makeover on the Cheap

Edgaroso inherited his grandmother's home, and with it, all the grandmother-y decor. The kitchen hadn't been updated in years, save for some questionable hunter green paint by a cousin, so Edgaroso and his family gave the whole space a complete facelife...for under $500.

"When we moved into my Grandmother's house, the kitchen was probably the worst room in the house - except for the bathroom which I recently renovated. While the kitchen was functional, it needed some sprucing up. Being on a tight budget I knew it had to be cosmetic and not structural - although I did take a few little shelving units out."

Nicely done. When you get ready to do structural, look for things like granite or butcher block remnants for counter tops.  Be surprised what you can do on the cheap with remnants.
