Cakes Made with Cricut Cake

Cakes Made with Cricut Cake

Paper crafters know what a Cricut is, but for those of you who don't know what it is, it's a home electronic die-cutting machine that cuts paper in countless shapes to be used for card making and scrap-booking. When the company that makes it came out with something called the Cricut Cake ($218), Cricut junkies everywhere gasped. A personal die-cutting machine for fondant and gum paste?? Amazing.

Now, I'm not in the market for a CC, but I do linger over their display at the craft store, wondering just what kinds of marvelous things these babies could produce. So, I did what all bloggers do, I searched the internets for the most spectacular specimens of cakes decorated using the Cricut Cake out there. Just check these babies out and try not to be impressed!

The example pictured below was designed using a picture of fabric the maker found on the web.

Oh wow Maven, that is so awesome! I'll have to see if my neice in law knows of these. She makes cakes for friends. She could start a business with this baby.

Bruno, I'm sure Ayla loved her cake very much.

DIY Maven on Jan 28, 2011:

Perhaps there's a Cricut Cake in Ayla's papa's future? I'd think it be a great item for those with wee ones in the house with many more years of birthday celebrations to come.

Awesome. I made a cake for Ayla's birthday last weekend, and it was, shall we say, somewhat inferior.
