My Top 10 Picks in the ReadyMade100 Contest

My Top 10 Picks in the ReadyMade100 Contest

The ReadyMade contest is officially closed.  Eight qualified judges will review the entries and come up with a winner. Perhaps I'm not qualified to choose my top ten favorites since I did enter one of my own designs, but I can't help but be impressed with the creativity of all you DIYers and resourceful Makers out there. We should start a club (notice how I included myself in that group). Here are my top 10 favs...I need to show you my entry before you get jaded.

Can you please share instructions on how you make the flying saucers from ping pongs and Cd's?

Patrick-You deserve it. I love the reuse, as well as the industrial look.

Wow thanks for including my Scaffold bench and slab o wood footstool in your top ten list. I'm very honored. The beauty of the scaffold bench is that it extends from 6 feet out to 12 feet to accomodate more friends. I actually call it the Friend Bench. You can find it (and more pics of my dog Thai) and a lot of other projects on my blog http://marumodern.wordpress.com/

All of them are super so many great ideas, I'm headed out thrifting to look for old key boards and there is all kinds of re-climed wood just waiting in my shed. If I can get there for the snow. ;-)

Nate-I LOVE your keyboard bar top but I also love the fencepost bench so I'm not sure what I'll be doing in January--sawing or gluing. Thanks for doing it.

If you want more info on the keyboard bar top, check out our blog.  It was an adventure.  I might have to try that fencepost bench next.

I need to check out these entries in details. So many inspiring ideas! I love the fan lamp best. I see these collecting dust on dressers in magazine. Nice to see those clean-lined vintage fans actually being used.
