It’s hard to imagine it from this angle, but the lovely side table pictured above actually started out its life as a door. Kim was inspired by a photo of Frank Flavell’s side table and decided to run with the concept. She and her cohort, Greg, set to work and crafted a table out of an old door. You can see/read all about the project here. However, if you don’t have an old door stashed away, you could easily replicate to original by Flavell using plywood. Birch, with a coat or two of Danish oil, would be lovely.
