I have a SERIOUS weakness for wind chimes and fountains. Right now, I don’t happen to have a fountain in the yard, but I usually do, most of which I’ve made. If you’ve always had a hankering to DIY a fountain yourself, you’ll want to checkout TinkerJim’s new Terra Cotta Fountain Instructable. Basic components of any fountain are pretty much the same [receptacle(s), pump, fountain] and Jim’s done a lovely job assembling them into a fountain that can rival any store-bought alternative for–I’m guessing–a fraction of the price. As for MY next fountain, I’m going to invest in a solar pump. Spendy but very cool!
