Rainy Day Craft: Rope and Glue Vases

by on Jun 29, 2010

Gluing rope around glass cylinders is calming and therapeutic, especially when you’re not being beckoned outside. Simple and fun, all you need are some leftover glass vases, a heap of 1/4″ or 1/2″ jute rope, a hot glue gun or other good, clear, heavy glue. Think of all the rope accents you could do. You could even paint them.  See more…ropevase

And if you can’t stop with vases, I have a friend who lives in a 1930s home with thick rope attached as crown molding. It’s been painted and adds a nice bit of texture at the top of the flat plaster walls.
