7 Veggie Myths

by on Jun 4, 2010

Today we explore vegetable mythology, and I’m not talking Tom-anatos or Pea-seidon here. Nope, these are things we think we know about veggies that are WRONG.

  1. Fresh vegetables are more nutritious than frozen.
  2. Cooked vegetables are less nutritious than raw.
  3. Iceberg lettuce doesn’t have any nutrients.
  4. Local vegetables are always cheaper.
  5. Potatoes make you fat.
  6. Bagged salads are perfectly clean.
  7. Farmer’s markets sell only organics.

For the FACTS associated with each of these myths, head on over to Yahoo Green.
