Jen found a recipe for homemade Pop Tarts and was inspired to make a very sophisticated Pop Tart. Sounds like an oxymoron, doesn’t it? Well, when the Tart is filled with raspberries and chocolate liqueur and frosted with a drizzling of melted white chocolate, it’s a Tart fit for a queen, baby! And let me just say, I am not a fan of white chocolate, but coupled with raspberries, it is FABULOUS! Here’s what you need to put on your shopping list to make some:
- 1 cup frozen raspberries
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon water
- 1 teaspoon corn starch
- 2 tablespoons white chocolate liqueur
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 4 tablespoons cold water
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon shortening
