DIY Mail Sorter

by on Feb 10, 2010

Mail. MWT has a thing about it. It must be sorted and ‘dealt with’ as soon as it comes into the house. I agree, but sometimes I don’t want to be bothered, which is why I let him handle it. When I saw Bright and Blithe’s DIY mail sorter, I thought, ‘Maybe I should make him one.’ And then I thought, ‘Naw.’ It’s still a cool idea, however. Especially for busy family types with a mud room. Can’t you just picture it in a mud room? Home office too, of course. Anyhoo, here’s the deets:

  • material, unbleached cotton fabric was used in this project
  • coordinating thread
  • 1/2″ wide elastic or ribbon
  • safety pin
  • off-white card stock (This is for the free printable labels, which, I’m thinking, could be used as embroidery patterns as well for more permanent labeling, if desired.)
