This kitchen island dining table combo by Phil Cook might be the answer to a tiny apartment's prayers. Prepare your meal on it and then remove the integrated dining table to enjoy your repast. Although...what do you do with your fixings while you're removing the table? I guess Mr. Cook assumes you have a countertop to store them on...or your guests can hold everything until the table is set up. Of course, once the table is erected, you'll still have to make room for it. And then there's the whole room-for-the-island-in-the-first-place problem. Well, it's still an interesting design.
