Recycled jewelry, furniture and art has hit a new level of chic, in my opinion. Not long ago, obviously salvaged items were not nearly as polished looking or acceptable as they are now. Some very cutting edge furniture designers are including well edited junk finds in their photo shoots, giving us all the go ahead to RRR (recycle, repurpose, restyle) in our formal living rooms. The look is nice, balanced and mindful. They may even discover that figuring out how to make useful and beautiful items from otherwise discarded junk increases brain function, like working a crossword puzzle or Sudoku.
