Here’s a natural money saver from days gone by. Did people even use deodorant before it was sold in spray cans and solid sticks? Sometimes, no. However, the hi faluttin’ types surely had a home concoction of underarm smellum that worked satisfactorily. Little House In The Suburbs gives us a nice little tutorial on how to make natural stick deodorant by using cornstarch, baking soda and tea tree oil. It’s a little surprising how it all gets glued together.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup baking soda
1/4 cup cornstarch
10 drops tea tree oil or lavender
2 T. coconut oil
1 empty deodorant stick
