Seth Rolland and the Art of Wood Steaming

Seth Rolland conquers wood with steam, which allows him to create furniture with a sense of grace and fluidity. Registering high on the spectacular meter is his ash and mahogany Dreamcatcher Hall Table. To construct it, Seth cut pieces of ash almost but not quite through. He then expanded the wood by steaming it, to create an accordion effect. The made-to-order 54" w x 15" d x 36" h hall table/art piece can be yours for $3,600. For more of Seth’s works, visit the gallery on his website.
