Spring will be here eventually, and when it arrives, I’ll be ready and waiting with my pretty floral rope wreath IKEA hack. This is one of the easiest hacks I’ve shared yet – and you’ll never guess what IKEA product I used. Keep reading to find out.

It is made using a springform pan! The minute I saw the Drömmar, it reminded me of a wreath – and this project was born.

Here’s what you’ll need for your rope wreath:

Begin by opening the springform pan and removing the flat bottom and replacing it with the bottom that has a hole in the middle, as shown above.

Start by gluing the end of the rope to the inside of the pan and wrap it through the middle hole and around the outside repeatedly. Glue the rope to the back side of the pan every couple of times you go around to keep it firmly attached.

You will need to overlap the rope in the center hole since it is so much smaller than the circumference of the outside of the pan. You can see it the photo below. But don’t worry, you can cover anything that looks awkward with the flowers.

Next, begin gluing flowers to the wreath. They will most likely just slide right off the stems, but if not, use a pair of tin snips or wire cutters to take the stems off.

Intersperse the flowers with a few leaves to give it some serious springtime flair. It also looks nicer if you extend the flowers onto the side of the wreath a bit.

And last, glue a small loop of wire to the top of the wreath on the back side so you can hang it up. Otherwise, it may not stay on a nail or screw because the side of the pan is sloped.

So fresh and colorful, right? I hung my wreath indoors, but you could also hang it on your front door provided you don’t have a storm door (or if there’s enough space in between the two). And do go crazy with the flowers – it would look so pretty with longer, cascading greenery too.

Happy crafting friends!
