These three store-bought cakes (from Whole Foods) were pretty to begin with, but a little DIY later and they're gorgeous. Yes, they're lovely enough for a wedding, but also for birthdays, wedding showers, baby showers, Mother's Day...you get the picture. The first step to their makeovers was removing the top decorations but leaving the sides, like so:
And then adding some flowers--pesticide free and non-poisonous, of course.
I thought my favorite was the one on the right, but a close up of the middle cake proved me wrong. I'm totally grooving on the dangly amaranthus. And who doesn't love sweet peas?
