Before and After: An Incredible Small Kitchen Makeover

Before and After: An Incredible Small Kitchen Makeover

This dated, walled-off kitchen just wasn't going to cut it for homeowners Dan and Mike. Not only did it make the whole space feel smaller, the wall prevented any light from the kitchen's large window from reaching the rest of the apartment. So, they did what every homeowner has had the urge to do at one point or another: they tore that thing down!

I think it's safe to say that the final kitchen is completely unrecognizable as the same space, which in this case is a great thing! From the floors to the tile to the IKEA cabinets (which feature custom doors from semihandmade), this kitchen makeover totally nailed it. See more photos and read all about the process and materials over on Sweeten!

I want to sincerely apologise . I am new to the Internet and my grand daughter pointed out that I wasn't looking properly. I have just learnt a very important lesson. My apologies again. My daughter and grand daughter love the kitchen. Im shocked at the difference.

@Anonymous - What do you mean? These are clearly the same kitchen. They layout is identical in both versions, and you can see that the window is the same in both the before and after shots.

They simply knocked the unnecessary walls down, and put in additional cabinets and countertop, opening the kitchen to the rest of them.

If you don't care for the design, that's fine; but there's nothing to be disappointed in here. This is absolutely the same kitchen; the new one is just better. And a great use of space.

It's not the same kitchen. The before kitchens are completely different. I am disappointed by these.
