This one bedroom apartment in New York City was horribly outdated and in need of some serious, serious style help. (That plastic-covered sofa is going to haunt me in my dreams.) When the new owners got the keys, THANK GOODNESS, they quickly got to work re-inventing this 500 square foot space, transforming it into a rustic, Scandinavian-inspired retreat in the heart of Manhattan.

Prop stylist Anthony D’Argenzio and his fiancee spent the better half of a year refinishing floors, knocking down walls, and customizing their apartment with reclaimed materials and vintage flea market finds. The result is a stunning space that perfectly reflects their aesthetic and OMG THOSE EXPOSED BRICK WALLS. Ahem.

Glad to see they replaced the chandelier with a …chandelier.  And the gilt framed mirror with a …gilt framed mirror. But hey, now they are “vintage flea market finds”!  How cool!

You’re right Anon… those are clearly the only two items in the entire apartment.
