How-To: DIY Fireplace Mantle Facade

by on Nov 12, 2014

Hello Lidy Instead of painting the stone or doing anything that would otherwise forever alter the structure of their fire place, Lidy and Joel of Hello Lidy made a facade! That’s right, they built a mantle where there was none before. Adding the new structure not only broke up all of the stone work (to make it feel lighter), but it also allows them to decorate in a place that couldn’t really be touched before.

Plus, should they ever decide to go an alternative route, the facade is completely removable which makes this project perfect for renters or if you ever sell your home. And really, what better time of year to have a mantle than for the upcoming holidays!
