There's nothing 'granny' about Mandi's big, DIY, quilted modern art. I love the juxtaposition of hard graphic lines and the quintessential softness of quilted material. (There goes my vocabulary budget for the day.) The supplies she used were pretty standard (stretchers, fabric, thread, batting, staples) as were the tools (sewing machine, safety pins, clamps, staple gun, fabric scissors, and optional craft bland and painter's tape). Of course the execution of the project is where the artistry shines. Luckily, Brandi holds our hand through the entire process. Click here to get started.
