Sometimes when you rip out carpet and discover a plywood subfloor that has seen better days, you get creative and recruit an artist to create something amazing. That’s exactly what happened with this DIY pattern floor project.
The folks at Ship & Shape asked artist Tynan Kerr to makeover a boring entryway and the results are really pretty great. So cheery and unexpected, I just love it.
While it may not always be practical to commission an artist to complete a home project like this, it can definitely serve as inspiration for a more do-it-yourself approach to tackling flooring projects inexpensively.
