A Beautiful Mess
Pinterest has become the go-to virtual inspiration wall, but I think it’s still fun to have a physical inspiration board with meaningful clippings and photos. And why not make the board itself interesting? Check out these ten inventive ideas.
1. Tape off a colorful “frame” using washi tape… instant cool factor! [Photo: Frashion By Marina]
2. For a temporary or removable option, use a ribbon covered bulletin board. [Photo: Celebrations]
3. Make notes and sketches on your board by tacking kraft paper up on the wall, then taping your inspiration on top. [Photo: Johanna Vintage]
4. Remove the glass from a frame and stretch colorful ribbon across at random… then attach your photos using binder clips or tape. [Photo: Lindsey Binz Home]
5. Mini clothespins are a fun way to hang your clippings too. [Photo: Shelterness]
6. Use washi tape to frame each image… experiment with types of frames and colors as shown above. [Photo: Electra Mag]
7. Or just hang a couple of long, brightly-colored pieces of washi horizontally and attach clippings above and below the tape as displayed here. [Photo: Tea For Joy]
8. Clipboards are perfect for those of us who like to swap out different images often. [Photo: Bodie and Fou]
9. Similar to the kraft paper idea above, taping your clippings to a chalkboard gives you the option of making notes about your inspiration. [Photo: Paper Playne]
10. If you’re not into hanging things directly on your wall, try painting an interesting triangular design on foam core as the backdrop for your inspiration. [Photo: A Beautiful Mess]
