Before and After: Light and Airy Bedroom Makeover

Before and After: Light and Airy Bedroom Makeover

This bedroom makeover not only looks better in the after version, it also looks bigger, with a few minimal adjustments.

Designer Jana Bek transforms this seemingly small bedroom into a space that feels twice as large as the before, thanks to some smart furniture placement and minimal (but high-impact) decor.

Seriously sick of 'before' shots taken from bad angles with no natural light, while 'after' shots are from the 'ideal' angle with a wide lens and beautiful light. The room looks bigger because the photographer has taken several steps back and changed the lens and/or angle. This is the difference between taking a selfie as you roll out of bed and comparing it with the results of a pro photo shoot after you've had a chance to pull yourself together and get your hair and makeup done.

Camera lens change/open shades + a trip to IKEA = makeover?
