Fiona Murray
Everybody called her crazy, but architect Laura Clark had a vision… and persistence paid off. She successfully converted a dilapidated old public bathroom in London into a warm, contemporary space that she now calls home. You won’t believe your eyes when you see the “after” photos.
Laura filled the long, narrow space with staggered open shelving for movement, and painted most of the walls white or taupe to make her home feel larger. She did save some of the tiles from the original public restroom to create the backsplash in the kitchen.
The contrast of the red cabinets against the surrounding white walls is just perfect. See the rest of the finished home, along with many many more “before” and “during” photos on Laura’s blog.
