Brooks and Dana Tucker's basement guest room gave them the creeps. Located off the pool, it was prone to a lot of foot traffic, which meant the carpeting had to go. Using Royal Design Studio 's Skylar's Lace Stencil, the decorative painting duo turned the concrete guest room floor into a work of lacy art. Two cotes of Chalk Paint-Decorative Paint by Annie Sloan in a Duck Egg Blue was applied first, and then Brooks went to town with the stencil. The lace print was done in Old White. When done with that, the entire floor was coated with Modern Master's Dead Flat Varnish. As you'll notice, the floor wasn't the only thing that was transformed. The couple painted the walls in Sherwin Williams Worldly Grey and the trim in Aesthetic White, while the headboard wall was given a distressed silver-foil finish.
