Time to re-think round beds?

When we hear round and bed in the same sentence, we might think cheese. But when considering Spacify’s offerings of the circular love nest, dairy is the last thing to come to mind. Yes, they’re expensive; however, the frames themselves are quite simple, which means with a little bendy MDF they’re DIY-able. What about the round mattress part? No worries there. Abe Feller’s Fine Mattresses sell round mattresses starting at 1300 bucks, which is much more palatable than Spacify’s 7K asking price.

I have a lovely round bed. They are fun to sleep in and oh so kewl. Take a look at my find! I had to rent a uhaul drive to ok and fetch this..but well worth the find. I found a manufactor of softside round waterbed on alibaba.com so I am going to order a new mattress in waterbed. More fun. I found the tables (perfect match) on ebay for a 100 bucks and had them shipped for 40.00. Can't beat it and the room came out perfect what I call regal retro...instead of hollywood regency. Having difficulty loading a picture onto here...will try later

I wonder how comfortable a round bed is. I suppose it'd take some getting used to... And what about sheets? And comforters? Tuck them in?! Surely, you jest! I just can't shake the feeling that I'm looking at a cat's bed!! And that some humanoid cat is living in the above apartment!!

You know, now that you mention it, I remember seeing a round bed the last time I was at Ikea too! Although, I'm waiting for them to come out with a heart shaped bed  ;) he he he

I was just in Ikea yesterday, and they have a round bed for $800.  If I had one, I'd want to put it on some kind of giant Lazy Suzan and have a Merry-Go-Bed...
