Yup. You read that title correctly. Embroidery artist Catherine McEver is the creator who uses sliced bread as canvases. Why? She says we have to read Umberto Eco’s Travels in Hyperreality to understand. Or we just need to have a quirky sense of humor. If you’re wondering how long such works of art last, Catherine says she has some slices of embroidered bread that are over four years old and ‘look just like new.’
