How To: Paint Polka Dots

I have never met a polka dot I didn’t like. They remind me of so many happy things: bubbles, balloons, pizza. Julia added them to a cheery dresser re-do and used a surprising and clever everyday item as her stencil. See what it was and the finished dresser makeover after the jump.

The stencil Julia used was a needlepoint hoop! She says you get two sizes for the price of one, and they are easy to maneuver over drawer breaks.

A white drawer has multicolored dots on it.

And isn’t the finished dresser so cheerful? I love how Julia wrapped the dots around to the side.

It would look great in a kid’s room or a kid-at-heart’s room.
