Sherry from Design Indulgence took this stool from humdrum to humdinger with a can of spray paint, some graphic black and white fabric, and to my surprise, upholstery webbing!
I love how the detail in the webbing stands out on the frame of the stool. And the burlap brings a rustic touch to a pretty glam piece.
After seeing this, I think upholstery webbing could be put to good use in other DIY projects. It could make great trim on the edge of curtains or add weight to the bottom of a tailored dust ruffle. It would be great for straps on a luggage rack. And it comes in a burlap/red color combo, too.
Do you like how it looks? Tell me how you'd use it in the comments.
