It finally got below 100 degrees where I live (why do I live here?), and suddenly I have Fall Fever. I was on the hunt for easy and inexpensive fall decor ideas and found this luminescent beauty, made completely out of materials found at your Dollar store or around the house. Using twine, glue, and a balloon, Lisa at Recaptured Charm created a festive gourd to hold a small string of lights. The result is a twinkly pumpkin, with lots of natural charm.
These types of string-and-glue projects can yield plenty of different results, and this one is a fun and easy way to make some fast, cheap decorations. A few of these as centerpieces (using battery-powered tea lights inside) would really set the mood for a party. For Lisa's full tutorial, check out Recaptured Charm.
