If you are anything like me, you've been enchanted by old collections of letterpress and printing press typography. I'd love to have a shelf packed with them someday, but in the meantime, I could always fake it-- just like this jumbo letter-- using wood and paper mache letters. Michele of The Scrap Shoppe is a monogram fiend, and was inspired by those old letters we love so dearly enough to make her own. She stuck with one letter, but I'm pretty sure a whole alphabet, in assorted sizes, is in order for me.
This is such an easy project! I'm thinking small-scale, lower-case letters (using chipboard from your local craft or scrapbooking store) would be fun to create that collection. To get the real look, make sure your letters are reversed! Michele shows the easy steps on her blog if you want to re-create this look.
