Roundup: Alternative Uses for Old Spice Racks

by on Aug 16, 2011

Spice racks. They’re not just for kitchens. Plus, the ones used in this roundup are those dime-a-dozen kind that you can find at just about any thrift store or rummage sale these days. Clever storage for peanuts…doesn’t get much better!

The first one, pictured above, found new life in the craft room storing colorful twine. Spotted at Paper ‘n Stitch.

Staying in the craft room, here’s an idea from the Curbly coffers: Old spice rack turned bead storage. Of course, this would be a GREAT way to store embellishments too, like brads and eyelets and such.

Next we head into the office with Organizing Junkie‘s cool use of a carousel spice rack, which now holds office supplies.

Mamie Janes turned an old spice rack into a memento shelf.

Still love this idea from Life Hacker from a few years back. Ikea spice racks turned into book displays.

And finally, Kristi at The Specked Dog tuned a spice rack in her rack stash into a nail polish holder. (I need a rack stash!!)
