5 Modern Pillow Tutorials to Freshen Up your Decor

5 Modern Pillow Tutorials to Freshen Up your Decor

I don't know about you, but those winter blues have flown out the window now that warmer weather has set in.  And in my neck of the woods, it is hot weather.  With the changing of the seasons, I feel like my whole condo needs a facelift to change along with the temperature.  With a very limited redecorating budget (the husband says he'd rather eat, phaw!) I figure the best place to start is inexpensive throw pillows like a shag pillow made from recycled t-shirts or knit yardage?  Talk about comfortable!  V&Co shows us how to make it.  Here are a few more fun and modern pillow ideas for you to lean on.

How about an awesome peacock tribute (with tutorial!) from Positively Splendid?

I could always put our family's faces on pillows.  I made a few of these for my sister, using a great tutorial from Homemade by Jill (via U-Create).  Somehow I always get roped into making stuff for other people and I end up with a bare couch.

Those of us with a more tactile preference can appreciate the pom-pom love coming from this pillow how-to at Living With Punks.  I can see myself going crazy for this one.

Now I have a growing list of pillows to grace my couch, bed, office chair, etc.  Do you have throw pillows around your house?  Are they just for looks or do you use them?
