How can I make my new floor look old?

By yoooo

I have one of those floating wood floors. It's cherry so it's pretty attractive. I wanted to have a reclaimed wood floor but the cost was prohibitive so I settled for the cherry floating. Anyone know if I could wax or polish it or do something to make it look a little less new and more 'lived in?'

Just don't take the normal precautions like you should with wood floors, and they will end up looking very used, very quickly. Like mine. The kitchen is horrible.

Sorry, I didn't install it myself but I've heard of people doing it. Sounds like a lot of work but it probably isn't difficult. I am pleased with it. I'm just more into old, used looking stuff!

I'm afraid I don't have an answer to your question, but I was wondering what brand of floor you used and if you installed it yourself. I'm thinking of self-installing a floating floor in my house and would love to know more about what you used since it sounds like you're generally pleased with the look (minus the newness). Tips?
