Finally, the after. Whew. I realize the pictures are hung higher than standard but my sister has a tendency to kick in her sleep so...

We spray painted her existing curtain rod green and the crates were super-cheap.

I made the curtain for the cabinet and window out of a fabric shower curtain I cut in half and hemmed. We were lucky enough to find mirrored shower curtain hooks for it.

I made the "chandelier" out of the frame from an old lamp shape and hand-strung thousands of beads on string. Yes, it's a little crooked but cute and one-of-a-kind. I made the desk skirt out of an old jersey sheet. The desk chair was painted green to match the walls, but didn't make these shots.
