Protecting vintage fabric???

I have a vintage piece of panton-esque style fabric and stretched it out onto a frame and now I'd love to know what I should use to protect it? It will be hanging in my kitchen so I want to protect it from food splatters and such. Should I use Scotchgard spray? Should I paint a clear coat of matte acrylic over it or would that yellow over time? Any advice?

By veeeeeThis is my happy place.
With two children, it's not always this tidy so I really enjoy these moments when it is. I love stoking up the fire, making a big bowl of popcorn and snuggling on the couch watching movies with my hubby and children.
