Trompe l'oeil Love

I love this way to accessorize that boring old office chair into an Eames Lounge or Saarinen Tulip Chair (by designer Chenhui Su!) Via Apartment Therapy.
Lately, I've been kinda obsessed with Trompe l'oeil! In a nutshell, it's is an art technique involving extremely realistic imagery in order to create the optical illusion that the depicted objects appear in three dimensions, instead of actually being a two-dimensional painting (thanks Wikipedia). I've always loved this style but my interest was recently renewed when I discovered a pair of Converse Trompe l'oeil Slipons! I must get them for the summer!! Anyway, I thought it would be fun to round up some more Trompe l'oeil finds that I love. I hope you enjoy them as well!!

I wish I had the skill to do something this cool. I would totally have to pencil it on lightly beforehand! Via Sharpie's blog.
These sheets by Snurk are ingenious! I don't know which one I like best. They are all so cool!!!
This DIY tufted headboard is oh-so-faux chic! Instructions can be found at Style at Home.
This shag rug from Urban Outfitters will make you do a double take. Thank goodness! Finally a shag rug that's easy to clean!
This laptop skin by Colin Thompson on Gelaskins almost makes me want to get off my laptop and read a book!
And these ice cream cones by Virginia Sin make it much more delightful if you must eat it in a cup!
