The whole rustic industrial trend is pretty popular these days. And when the high end stores get in on the act, you know it's here to stay. Inspired by pricey Restoration Hardware shelves, Shannon and Dean set out to DIY them and save a couple thousand bucks in the process.

Their DIY-version is built from reclaimed pallet wood that they sanded and stained and metal pieces Shannon and Dean had cut for them at a local Metal Supermarket. (Who knew there was such a place?)
Not only does their blog give a very thorough list of the materials you'll need, but there's also a detailed schematic with measurements and instructions.
