Make a Modern Bench Made from Old Fenceposts

Who would have thought that 4" x 4" rotten fence posts could shape up and look so flippin' great?  This repurposed bench project on ApartmentTherapy instantly snagged my attention. And to think I almost called a guy to haul away our old fence posts that are heaped on the wood pile.  This project was done by the bloggers over at The Brick House. They used the metal bases that came off their old Eames Surfboard Table but I'm sure I can find a unique base with a day or two of vintage scouting.

It's almost tooooooo easy.

See the entire tutorial here, where you need to view their house tour photos. (Do people really live without papers strewn about on desks and counters?)

Net_wisetrack-Me too. I went out to the pile but they were split rail fence posts. I may have to go grovel to someone tearing down a fence.

Absolutely fab reuse of materials. Where there is a will there is a way when we are on a budget! That reminds me, I knew I should have kept my beautiful greyed fence posts!
